If you donโ€™t know by now, my name is Ravin and my family and I just relocated from Michigan to North Carolina. With relocation comes a lot of work. Packing, cleaning, moving, cleaning, unpacking, organizing, and finally (the fun part) REDECORATING! I will be creating blog posts for every space in our home as a โ€œbig revealโ€ that Iโ€™m hoping can serve as inspiration, as well as help with some big finds you may be looking for. This one will be for our master bedroom reveal!

The first reveal was for the great room in our new home. Missed it?? Check it out here!!

Without further ado, letโ€™s jump into it!

I didn’t start off with clear inspiration for what I wanted our master bedroom to be like. Honestly, I just knew I wanted it to feel warm, so paint was a necessity. I also did not want it to feel crowded or overwhelming, therefore minimal furniture was a must. Starting, I didn’t have a color scheme in mind, or even a specific design style in mind. I began by simply just browsing and by browsing, I mean ENDLESS scrolling scrolling scrolling!

The first big item we purchased was our bed frame. I knew I wanted to finally upgrade from a queen to a king size mattress and I always wanted a headboard and foot board combo. I literally fell in love immediately with the look and price of this Marlon Upholstered Bed in Navy Blue. From here, I quickly chose the color scheme for our bedroom to be navy blue, brown and grey with a white pop of color.

Along with a white pop of color, I’m also a very big advocate for a metal pop of color as well. In this case, I decided gold would work best. Our nightstands helped to bring both grey and gold together and set the tone for the rest of the space.

I was so happy to find these table lamps that look very lux but are, in my opinion, very affordable for the quality. When pairing table lamps next to a headboard you want to make sure they are tall enough to look like they belong. This was especially important in my case with such a big, eye catching bed frame.

With the nightstands being so wide (to compliment the king size bed) decoration was a must. To the left you’ll see 2 decorative books by Joanna Gaines & Suzanne Kasler and a metal figurine, and to the right a gold sphere with a black and gold hour glass (actually 30 min glass ๐Ÿ˜‚), all of which came from Home Goods. The pictures behind the bed say “Soul Swooned Slowly” and are from an Etsy Shop – Baydreem. I purchased them as a digital download and then sent them to be printed by Frame It Easy. I chose an art size of 18″ x 24″ and a frame size of 18 3/16″ x 24 3/16″. The color is Satin Black.

I ordered all of my bedding from West Elm on closeout sale so unfortunately they are no longer available. The chocolate faux fur throw blanket and the blue and grey area rug (8×11) are still available!

Have you gotten this far like “OMG! Has she really still not mentioned the wallpaper!!???” Sorry I completely forgot until now. The paint color is Cobble Brown from Sherwin Williams and the wallpaper is Golden Geo Removable Wallpaper from Walls Need Love. Happy now??!!?! ๐Ÿ˜Š

I get a lot of people ask why I put the sitting area in front of the TV making it impossible to sit and watch TV ๐Ÿค”. My answer is……there was no other place to put it! And I was not about to block my beautiful footboard that I’ve dreamt of my entire life! That would be tragic! Anyway, it turned out great because we usually only lounge while watching TV and the sitting area is used for work or reading, check check check!

Ohhh! And before I forget, the Darcey 95″ curtains in gold and New Brass Curtain Rod both came from Bed Bath and Beyond. They were very reasonably priced and are great quality. We have 4 grommet panels in total.

Here I wanted to bring in the warmth and not overdo the navy blue so I paired it with wood tones. I really love this end table/ center table combo. And despite what you may think, the chairs were not a set with the bed frame. I found them separate BOOYYYAHHHH! The decorative pieces came from West Elm and inside you can find white and gold coasters and a tall candle each from Home Goods. The beige and brown mirror and hanging lantern both came from my favorite store… Home Goods as well ๐Ÿ˜.

Our bedroom picture wall is composed of random pictures that we’ve collected over the years. The great thing about a picture wall is it doesn’t have to be matchy-matchy, it fills out the space with minimal effort, and helps bring attention to the ceiling height. I will always recommend a picture wall. In fact, I will be creating a blog post soon for “How to make the perfect picture wall?” So stay tuned for that!

That was fast right? I tried my best to source all I could for our master bedroom, I apologize if I missed anything. If I did, feel free to write me a comment like “Ravin! What the heck!” and I’ll respond ASAP. Like always, if you need help, feel free to reach out ๐Ÿ’–.
